This is a general list of items that every goat owner should have in their "goat" medicine cabinet.

Veterinary Thermometer - The goats normal temperature is 102-104

Antibiotics (Penicillin, LA200, Nuflor (Rx)) 

Therabloat - bloat treatment

Scour Halt - treatment of diarrhea

Probiotics (Goats Prefer, Probios) - to start rumen

Blood Stop Powder - helps clot blood

Epinephrine Injection (Rx) - for shock or allergic reaction to medication

Corid or Albon (Rx) - treatment of coccidiosis

Latex Disposable Gloves - for examination

Vet Wrap - bandaging

7% Iodine - for navel dipping


Betadine - wound irrigation

Neosporin - antibiotic cream for minor cuts

Terramycin Eye Ointment - treatment of eye irritation

Clean Old Towels

Scissors

Nutri Drench - for stressed animals

OB Lube - for internal examinations or taking the temperature

Needles - for giving vaccinations. They should be between a 20 and a 22 gauge.

Syringes - for giving vaccinations, irrigating a wound, oral medications (1cc, 3cc, 6cc)

Baking Soda - for upset bellies.
